Massacres at U.S.-Israeli Aid Centers in the Gaza Strip

Massacres at U.S.-Israeli Aid Centers in the Gaza Strip

In a new horrific crime, Israeli occupation forces committed another massacre in the early hours of Tuesday, June 3, 2025, near a “U.S.-Israeli Aid Center” in Rafah Governorate. The attack resulted in the killing of 27 civilians, including women and other non-combatants, and injured more than 90 others with varying degrees of wounds. Some children had accompanied their mothers to collect aid, only to return home alone after their mothers were killed in the massacre.

This brings the total number of casualties at these so-called “aid centers” to 102 dead and 490 wounded since operations began in Rafah and Wadi Gaza Bridge on May 27, 2025. The project is being managed under Israeli supervision and promoted under the label of “humanitarian response,” while in reality, it is being used as a cover for systematic acts of genocide.

These so-called aid distribution centers, established in exposed, dangerous “red zones” under full control of the occupation army, have turned into death traps. Starving civilians, driven by famine and a strict blockade, are lured in, only to be deliberately and cold-bloodedly shot at.

Amid the ongoing Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip, a new plan to distribute food aid emerged in May 2025, sparking widespread controversy among humanitarian and political circles. This plan, developed under Israeli supervision, seeks to restructure the aid distribution mechanism—bypassing traditional UN-led frameworks—and raises serious concerns about its true motives.

The repeated daily massacres at these distribution centers, carried out in broad daylight and resulting in shocking numbers of deaths and injuries, reveal a deliberate use of humanitarian aid as a tool for mass killing and ethnic cleansing. These acts constitute genocide under Article II of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

The continuation of such crimes, amid the ongoing silence of the international community, is a stain on the conscience of humanity. It proves that the occupation persists in committing horrific acts of genocide in full view of the world—without accountability.

Israel’s aid distribution plan in Gaza demonstrates clear violations of the ethical principles of humanitarian work. Despite the urgent need for food, the current approach politicizes the aid process and worsens the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

In light of the above, we call upon you to:

1. Take immediate action to stop the genocide in the Gaza Strip.

2. Ensure that aid distribution in Gaza is carried out under independent UN supervision.

3. Enable neutral humanitarian organizations such as UNRWA, the Red Cross, and the World Food Programme to fulfill their humanitarian roles in Gaza.

4. Guarantee comprehensive aid delivery, especially medicines, clean water, and shelter for civilians in the Gaza Strip.
