The \u00a0 <\/span>Geneva Center for Democracy and Human Rights<\/span><\/strong> \u00a0is an independent, non-profit organization whose main mission is the defense of human rights and democracy.<\/span><\/p>

Protecting democracy and a culture of good governance is one of our center’s main objectives. We also work to eradicate what remains of colonial regimes around the world, particularly in the Pacific and the Middle East.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Based in Geneva, the center was founded in 2012, the year several Arab revolutions began: Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Syria, Libya, etc. It is registered under this number (CHE-311.184.822).<\/span><\/p>

Our motivation is primarily the will of the people to revolt against all types of oppression, and also against the tyrants who have governed them for many years.<\/span><\/p>

With our team of experts, consultants and advisors in international law, we strive to defend human rights, and we focus on violations of people’s right to expression and freedom.<\/span><\/p>

In addition to our administrative\/political office in Geneva (home to many UN human rights bodies), we have a regional office in Tunisia and Turkey.<\/span><\/p>

  • The Geneva Center operates in partnership with other human rights organizations worldwide. We expose incidents using reliable sources of information and protect our sources with the utmost care and diligence. When necessary, we formulate recommendations to address human rights abuses and assist those affected.<\/span><\/p>

    Our main mission is:<\/span><\/p>

    – To raise awareness of human rights worldwide<\/span><\/p>

    – To leverage international law to hold perpetrators of human rights violations accountable.<\/span><\/p>

    – To lend a hand to local institutions in the implementation of joint projects.<\/span><\/p>

    – Encourages human rights organizations and policymakers to focus on specific violations.<\/span><\/p>

    – To highlight the challenges faced by marginalized populations.<\/span><\/p>

    – Encourages the use of peaceful and legal means to denounce perpetrators of human rights violations, including parties that obstruct the work of lawyers.<\/span><\/p>

    – To work towards the existence of a local culture of respect for democracy and the fight against the culture of impunity and totalitarianism in the world.<\/span><\/p>

    – To work towards eliminating what remains of colonial regimes in the world, particularly in the Pacific and the Middle East.<\/span><\/p>
