About

About Us

Defending the rights, dignity, and freedom of every human being — since 2012.
Who We Are

An Independent Voice for the Oppressed

The Geneva Center for Democracy and Human Rights is an independent, non-profit organization whose main mission is the defense of human rights and democracy. Protecting democracy and a culture of good governance is one of our center’s main objectives.

We also work to eradicate what remains of colonial regimes around the world, particularly in the Pacific and the Middle East. Based in Geneva, the center was founded in 2012, the year several Arab revolutions began: Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Syria, Libya, and others.
Our motivation is primarily the will of the people to revolt against all types of oppression, and also against the tyrants who have governed them for many years. With our team of experts, consultants and advisors in international law, we strive to defend human rights, and we focus on violations of people’s right to expression and freedom.
In addition to our administrative/political office in Geneva (home to many UN human rights bodies), we have a regional office in Tunisia and Turkey.
